SATURDAY NIGHT EDITORS, TOOTS THIELEMANS.

English band from Stafford. Formed in 2002. Frontman is Tom Smith (lead vocals, guitar, piano).



And then I guess quite a few people on both sides of the Atlantic must have heard about the passing of a great musical genius and prominent jazz musician, "Toots" Thielemans, born Jean-Baptiste Frédéric Isidore Thielemans in 1922 in Brussels. After WWII he got to know Charlie Parker and Miles Davis, amongst others, and this was the start of a successful career in the States.

He died on 22 August 2016 in Braine L'Alleud, a town some 2o kloms south of Brussels.

But of course, he will be forever remembered for his haunting harmonica in the theme for Midnight Cowboy, the legendary 1969 movie by John Schlesinger and featuring Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight:
